It has been a whirlwind week since last week’s election. I spent last week working with my team outlining the next steps in the campaign and what we will need to do to win in November. I also spent the weekend with my family before the boys went back to school.
I did want to share this with all of you who have supported me since announcing my run for City Commission:
In the beginning of the year, I sat on my friend’s porch discussing the affordability issues that ourselves, our friends, and our neighbors were facing. After years of rising property taxes and utilities costs, and realizing that my friends’ children could not afford to buy a home in town, I felt I had to try to make a difference. I wanted to look my two boys in their faces and say that their dad stood up to improve the City that he loved.
Thank you to everyone here – to my friends, advisors, and fellow citizens! To all of you that I have met in these past 3 months who have believed that our community must do better, that we can face and fix the affordability and financial problems of the City that we love – your faith and hard work will change this town.
